Zouk'N Zin is where new talents shine, as we present to you:
ur guest Artist of the night, Tamara Elie:
On April 30, when we initially started the program, we brought you Michele Marseille who gave a superb performance to standing ovations. Following the same pattern of presenting to you new artists that need to be discovered,  we bring to you Tamara Elie. A great vocalist with a great future in front of her.

Tamara Elie was born in Brooklyn and raised in Long Island, NY to parents that originally came from  Haiti. She began singing in the church choir and also studied dance at an early age, which made her discover her love for performing in front of an audience.  Elie was inspired by artists such as Toni Braxton and Anita Baker. Elie graduated from Boston University with a degree in Political Science where she was cofounder and president of a dance team. She returned to New York where she performed modern and Haitian folklore dance. She also sang back up for a record label. At an audition, Elie met  met rappers that knew of a producer by the name of D.R.E.X of Urban Riderz based in the Bronx. She began working with D.R.E.X. on records that were inspired by American and Caribbean genres and beats. She co-wrote and co-produced songs that are based on her personal experiences. Her Caribbean musical influences are Zouk and Kompa artists such as Carimi, Tina, Kaysha, and Kassav. The style of music created by Elie shows a blend of American and Haitian roots that sets her apart from other artists.

So, RockMasters Entertainment asks you to come out in great numbers to encourage and support Tamara Elie in her debut appearance in the Haitian club scene at  Brasserie Creole on Friday June 4.

The following  Friday June 11, we will continue the tradition with the best "Spoken Words & Kreyol Poetry" group out of Haiti named "TPS"
